HCG diet?

Lately, all i'm hearing and seeing is hcg diet. My fb is full of posts with it and I actually never heard of it.
Since i'm currently dieting, I tought to make a little post of it so I can get some opinions about it!

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin: a hormone produced during pregnancy by the cells that form the placenta. aka they extract it from women piss.
What it does in the body: HCG signals the hypothalamus to mobilize fat stores. In pregnancy, this helps the body bring nutrients into the placenta, fueling the fetus with the energy to grow.

They say you have to combine hcg with a 500 cal diet. It's ridiculous how low that is. Off course you'll lose weight if you eat almost nothing but the thing is that you won't fell hungry. Hcg takes your fat to produce the energy you need.

Ok, Now I read a bunch of studies, and all of those studies say that it doesn't work. I see posts saying that it's illegal in Belgium and 5 mins late I see posts saying that you can get a refund from your healthcare... (this shit is expensive)

So why do I see tons and tons of post from people saying it does work??

btw: I will never use anything like pills/injections to lose weight. Sports and a new eating manners are the way to go. A bit slower but healthy!!

  21. just like you'll hear that you need to eat 150g of protein a day from protein suppliment makers, even though your body can't take in more than 30-50g at a time and you pee the rest out. Everything you hear about its "success" is likely from the people who produce the stuff. It's all about the advertisement baby.
